Brief Biography

My interest in cancer research began in elementary school and grew over time as I continued to develop an understanding of the devastation caused by this disease. After starting college, this interest led me to major in bioengineering and pursue a career in research.
After completing my undergraduate degree in bioengineering at Washington State University, I chose to work toward a PhD in biomedical engineering as I believe this will best prepare me to meaningfully contribute to my field. Once I have completed the program, I intend to work in academia and research. I hope to help underprivileged students find opportunities in research while making strides in limiting the effects of cancer progression.
