GSBSE Student Lindsey Avery Selected to Present at EMBO Cilia 2016

Lindsey Fitzsimons, M.S., R.C.E.P., C.E.P., a Ph.D. student from the University of Maine, Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering, has recently been selected to deliver a lecture at the European Molecular Biology Organization conference on Primary Cilia in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on October 6, 2016.  Her talk is entitled “Primary cilia of cardiac neural crest cells orchestrate multiple aspects of cardiovascular development.” The conference will gather cutting-edge laboratories addressing multiple aspects of primary cilia biology, including both basic research and translational work with patients suffering from ciliopathies.
