GSBSE Director David Neivandt wins Genco Award

On April 9th, 2014, at the Annual Banquet of the Pulp and Paper Foundation, Dr. David Neivandt received the Joseph M. Genco Award for his stellar research, teaching, and service. Dr. Neivandt is a Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director of UMaine’s Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering.

The Joseph M. Genco Award for Pulp and Paper Industry Support is given annually to the University of Maine employee who has demonstrated exemplary support of the Pulp and Paper Industry through either outstanding research that has the potential to significantly improve the viability of the industry, and/or through innovative student recruitment to help provide the next generation of Pulp and Paper Engineers and Leaders, and/or through innovative teaching that inspires current engineering students.
