Brief Biography

After graduating from the University of Maine in 2015, I spent five years in various roles within the field of children’s mental health. In 2020, I joined the Jackson Laboratory In Vivo Pharmacology group as a Research Assistant. I worked primarily on a team focused around rare and orphan diseases, conducting pre-clinical platform development and evaluation of potential therapeutics. In the fall of 2023, I began work in Dr. Ian Meng’s lab at University of New England as laboratory manager; I plan to continue on in Dr. Meng’s lab for my dissertation. Our current research is centered around corneal sensory processing and understanding neurological changes under pathological conditions such as dry eye disease.
