Interests

I have research experience working with rodents, collecting tissue and performing behavioral observations. I am looking to continue with a behavioral approach focusing on the biological mechanisms that underlie them. I also really appreciate hands on work, I have developed multiple different models for increasing efficiency in lab operations using 3D printing and resin molding. I’m really excited to see all the research tracks at GSBSE.

Biography

My undergraduate degree is a major in Neuroscience and a minor in psychology. I have spent the last 2 years working on multiple projects for the King lab, most notably a fellowship project which examined sex differences in the expression of pain. I presented research on pain at the society for neuroscience conference in Chicago IL. My passion extends beyond traditional scientific experimentation, and I’m often found developing models to streamline data collection and processing. Outside of the lab I go on all-season hiking expeditions where I participate in citizen science data collection for ornithological research.
