Brief Biography
As a budding molecular geneticist, Hilda is fascinated by research in genomics and cell biology using cutting-edge technologies. She believes that research in these areas has applications in diverse areas such as cell development and differentiation, identification of molecular signature of diseases, the response of organisms to their environment, and ultimately, human health. Over the years, Hilda has gained experience in a myriad of skills such as teaching, nucleic acid extraction, polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, next-generation sequencing, metagenomics, transcriptomics, microscopy, bacteria culture, somatic embryogenesis, apical meristem culture, and biodata analysis. Fun fact: She loves being indoors but also enjoys seeing and visiting new places.
