Biography
My name is Alejandro Figueroa Condiman, a McNair Scholar graduating in spring 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology. My recent research involved constructing recombinant growth factors in Escherichia coli to address the thermal instability and high costs associated with factors maintaining embryonic stem cells’ pluripotency. I am passionate about cell-cell interactions in musculoskeletal and tissue regeneration, with a focus on uncovering the cell types responsible for whole limb regeneration in non-human animals. Through my research and studies, I aim to contribute to advancing regenerative medicine. I am excited to connect with UMaine faculty and explore how their expertise aligns with my research goals.
