GSBSE Institute of Medicine Fellowship Award Recipients

The University of Maine Institute of Medicine awarded nine graduate summer fellowships for 2023. These awards are to support students’ research in health science and biomedicine, and awards include $6,000 for a stipend, one graduate tuition credit and health insurance coverage. 

We are happy to inform that three of the nine awards were received by GSBSE students: 

  • Joshua David Hamilton, a biomedical engineering Ph.D. student advised by Andre Khalil
  • Kathryn Patenaude, a biomedical science Ph.D. student advised by Melody Neely
  • Bailey Blair, a biomedical science Ph.D. student advised by Robert Wheeler
